Ex-Manchester United defender Gary Neville has joined his brother Phil Neville at Valencia. Phil is assistant manager, while Gary has now been appointed as manager of the side until the end of the season.

Gary Neville will give up his Sky television duties as he starts his first role as a manager of a club. Valencia are owned by Peter Lim, who has extensive business interests with Gary Neville.

Neville and Lim both have shares in the Class of 92, as does Phil, and they are also linked after Lim bought shares in Hotel Football through an investment group he has a stake in.

It has long been rumoured that the Class of 92 and Lim have a long-term interest in taking over Manchester United, and should this experiment at Valencia go well then a move for the club would only become more likely.
