The signing of Victor Valdés has put paid to Anders Lindegaard's solid if unspectacular career as Manchester United's backup goalkeeper. Unsurprisingly, it has forced the Dane to look for another club, though so far he has failed in his bid. That's according to the Press Association's Paul Hirst, who tweeted:
Have been told Anders Lindegaard won't be leaving #MUFC tonight. His agent was looking for a new club for him but hasn't found one...

It's a pity for Lindegaard, who has always been pretty decent when called upon by United. Making things even worse is the fact that his contract doesn't expire until next summer, so he won't even be completely free to find a new club by himself in the next transfer window. That said, it's hard to see United standing in his way if ever anyone does come in to snap him up.
