Ah, international football. Just when we'd all managed to forget its existence, back it comes like an unpaid bill. England have two games coming up, a Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania at Wembley, then a friendly against Italy in Turin. And five Manchester United players will be along for the ride.
Wayne Rooney, England's captain, is present and correct, as are three defenders: Phil Jones, Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling. Finally, Michael Carrick returns to the fold after missing the World Cup. However, there's no place for Ashley Young, and given that Andros Townsend has made the squad, we think he's got every right to feel a little bit narked.
The real question, of course, is: who's going to get the injury that keeps them out of the rest of the season? Early favourite has to be Shaw, but tBB reckons the value bet is Carrick. Maybe Jones each way.
