Manchester United's teenage midfield talent Andreas Pereira has been one of the Reds' top reserve performers this season, and was handed his Premier League debut off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur last month. However, he's yet to extend his expiring contract, and now we may know why. The Manchester Evening News recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain have offered to triple the 19-year-old's contract, apparently offering close to €30,000 a week instead of the £6,000-a-week deal proposed by United.
That, according to the MEN, is slightly more than the pretty insulting £4,000 United offered Pogba before he -- understandably -- left to join Juventus and establish himself as the most talented young midfielder on the planet. However, it's still a pretty meagre wage for a player on the fringes of the first team. Considering United's financial capacity, they need to think very carefully about allowing him to leave without a fight. We don't want to make the same mistake twice.
