Bayern Munich give Bastian Schweinsteiger permission to join Manchester United

Pep Guardiola and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have given Bastian Schweinsteiger their blessing to join Manchester United, who have also been linked with Diafra Sakho, with Robin van Persie, David de Gea and Javier Hernandez soon to leave.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are interested in West Ham striker Diafra Sakho - you can read the article here - and while you're at it, you can read the same journalist saying that United were going to be signing Rodrigo Dourado from Internacional here.

In the Mirror, they think that Louis van Gaal will be leaving Robin van Persie and David de Gea in England rather than taking them on tour to America. Van Gaal doesn't see any point taking Van Persie, who'll soon be Fenerbahce player, and De Gea, who is very likely to be off to Real Madrid. That's here.

In the Mirror again, Pep Guardiola and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have both essentially said that Bastian Schweinsteiger is free to join Manchester United, and that the player himself is flattered by the interest. We should find the answer to that in the next week or so as players return to their clubs for pre-season. You can have a look at that here.

Lastly, Javier Hernandez is wanted by Sevilla. Sell him!
