Victor Valdés hits back at Louis van Gaal over reserve snub

See Louis, Victor Valdés did play for the reserves after all.

Any hope that Manchester United fans may have had of Victor Valdés staying at Old Trafford have now completely evaporated. Louis van Gaal left him out of the squad that has travelled to the United States for the pre-season tour, and has since confirmed that the Spaniard will be sold after a refusal to play for the reserve team last season. In short, he disrespected the philosophy. And no one disrespects the philosophy.

However, Victor Valdés has hit back with bridge-burning yet highly amusing couple of posts on Twitter and Instagram, in which he points to the U-21 matches in which he did feature last season. His message can be verbalised as: "you made me play with Anderson and this is the thanks I get?!" He may well have a point.

Anyway, as much macabre intrigue as TBB has in the idea of starting the season with Sam Johnstone and Anders Lindegaard as the only goalkeepers in the entire squad, it's probably for the best that the Reds sort this department pretty soon.
