The Daily Mail carries quotes from Louis van Gaal, who says that he's not sure where Angel Di Maria is. That's probably nonsense, but it's clear that the end is nigh for the wastrel Di Maria. That's about it for him, let's hope we never have to go through such a farrago again. Here's the article.
Pedro is closer to leaving Barcelona, either for Manchester United or possibly for Bayern Munich, as Barcelona have lined up Nolito as his replacement. That's in the Mirror, and can be read here.
United lost 2-0 last night to PSG, and the Telegraph have a report here. United's defence wasn't very good, but then United's defence had Phil Jones and Daley Blind, who simply aren't good enough. If United don't fix this before the end of the transfer window, you have permission to worry.
David de Gea was poor, too, and has played only 100 minutes of the pre-season tour. Van Gaal has acknowledged that he doesn't really want to be hear anymore, and has bemoaned the situation. De Gea needs to snap out of it or Real need to make a suitable offer, that's the only way it ends. That's on the BBC, here.
The Sun say something that matches Van Gaal's statement last year. They aren't willing to meet the price for Cristiano Ronaldo after Real asked for £85 million. They want to pay £60 million. Oh well, that was a fun week of speculation, and you can read the Sun article here.
