Isn't it nice to win when everyone else falls apart?
In the The Sun, there's a rumour that Lucas Biglia will soon join Manchester United from Lazio. Apparently, it's to replace Angel Di Maria. Well, they're both central midfielders (of different sorts), and both are from Argentina, but apart from that there's no similarity at all. He'll cost £17.5 million - you can read the story here.
In the Mirror, there are the traditional 10,000 transfer rumours. One is that Louis van Gaal has refused to rule out signing a central defender. Well, obviously. Why would you? Nicolas Otamendi is mentioned, again, but we'd all be surprised if that actually happens at this stage.
But as well as that, there's this story that United have made enquiries about signing Harry Kane from Spurs. It makes sense. Ed Woodward has failed to get Thomas Muller, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, and with the money burning a hole in his pocket, he might as well spend it somewhere. Kane it is.
Phil Jones is a clot, and he also has a blood clot. Thankfully, it is only a mild one and it has meant he'll be injured for a few weeks, nothing more serious than that. There's a story in the Manchester Evening News.
