Manchester United take on Club Bruges on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League qualifying round. If they progress pass the Belgian team, they will make the draw for the Champions League group stages.

The second leg will take place on August 26th, and Carrick is in no doubts as to the importance of the match:

"It's going to be a big night on Tuesday.

"It'll be a big two games in fact. They could help set us up for the season.

"What we have to gain is very important, but you approach both matches as any other games.

"We want to win on Tuesday and not concede.

"Hopefully we can get a good start and take a lead to their place. We'll be ready."

Carrick will be saying more bland things over the course of the season, and we'll be following his every word until the end of 2015/16.
