The Mail have two stories on transfers that are worth including. The first is that Real Madrid are preparing to offer Keylor Navas and cash to United for David de Gea. Navas seems a perfectly reliable keeper - and Jasper Cillessen doesn't appear much better than that, either - so it might be a simple resolution to the transfer. The second is that Gareth Bale is still on Manchester United's radar, with Louis van Gaal of the opinion that he is the man to bring his squad to life. He's a wonderful player and would certainly give United a shot at the title, but the transfer window is closing soon. It seems unlikely to happen now, at least.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United want to buy Sadio Mane and are confident that he wishes to join them. After an initial bid of around £15 million, they are preparing another of around £20 million, closer to Southampton's valuation of £25 million - more than Pedro cost, by the way.
The Telegraph have a story that Manchester United want Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. The problem here is that he has a release clause, which Ed Woodward rarely seems able to deal with. Either offer the money or don't.
