The Sunday People says that Manchester United are waiting until the last three days of the transfer window to make a move for Gareth Bale. He'd cost about £100 million - United are waiting to see how he is treated by the fans in the first La Liga game. If he's booed again, they fancy their chances. You can read about this here. As Steve Bates wrote the story, it's worth keeping an eye on.

On ESPNFC, there's a link between United and Felipe Anderson of Lazio. He would be exactly the kind of player they need, and is an established target for the side. After missing out on Pedro, he'd be a quick, exciting and dangerous player who could play from the wings and add pace to the side. Despite playing in the qualifiers for Lazio in the Champions League, he wouldn't be cup-tied. As ever, United need to actually get their act together if they want him. Time is running out. You can read that here.

Lastly, the Mirror has a story that Jonny Evans could join West Bromwich Albion for £8 million. Even if Daley Blind is dropped as a defender, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones are the first choices to replace him, not Evans. WBA need a defender after missing out on Federico Fazio from Spurs.

Right, that's it for the day.
