Manchester United might turn to Alexandre Pato of Corinthians, on loan to Sao Paolo, as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements.
According to the Telegraph, both Manchester United and Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign the player for £11 million. Pato is keen on a move to the Premier League, with mid-table sides also linked with a move.
Pato scored 63 goals for AC Milan in his first stint in Europe, but injuries and Milan's decline started to hamper his career, so he returned to Brazil. For Corinthians and Sao Paolo, he has suffered far fewer injuries and has enjoyed a resurgence of sorts, scoring 30 in 74 appearances for Sao Paolo, and 17 in 57 for Corinthians.
It's not clear how Pato would help Manchester United, given he cannot lead the line and is not a traditional wide player, but the club are running out of options as the transfer deadline approaches.
