Ander Herrera may feature against Club Brugge as Louis van Gaal hinted that he could rotate his squad against the Belgian side. Manchester United should go through as long as they don't lose 2-0, or if they score, as long as they don't lose by more than two clear goals, though a score of 3-1 would result in extra time.

Marcos Rojo will play against Ajax reserves in a friendly this week, so he is unlikely to feature. Marouane Fellaini has only made one substitute appearance all season - to score against Brugge last week - so could play to build up his fitness now that he has served his domestic suspension.

Sergio Romero should continue in goal for United, but regular substitutes like Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia may get a chance to start the match. Andreas Pereira, Adnan Januzaj and James Wilson may also get a chance to impress.
