The Mirror have a story which says that Victor Valdes' move to Besiktas in Turkey is imminent. It's a shame it didn't work out, and it sounds mostly like Louis van Gaal got fed up with him because he wasn't happy doing all he asked of him. Given most of the Spanish lot no longer like the manager, you have to wonder who was in the right about the disagreement.
In the Daily Mail, there's a welcome return to the aggro we all thought had passed. Say what you want about United, but their ability to kick the heads in of other people who like kicking other people's heads in, remains undimmed by modern football.
And lastly on ESPNFC, there's a story that Barcelona will substantially raise the already enormous £140 million buyout clause of Neymar, to stop Manchester United even considering paying his release clause.
Not long left now, Woodward.
