Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has told the press that he will not deny that the club could make further signings before the transfer window shuts. When asked about potential deals, he said:
"We shall do announcements when we want to do it not when you want an answer."
It is clear that United are selling players: Jonny Evans will join West Bromwich Albion; Tyler Blackett will go to Celtic; and Victor Valdes looks set to join Besiktas, but there's every chance that United could make their own additions.
With David de Gea possibly to leave for Real Madrid, Jasper Cillessen would be expected to join from Ajax. However, there are potential outfield additions to the squad.
Lazio's Felipe Anderson has been linked after the Italian club failed to make their way through to the group stages of the Champions League, and rumours persist of a move for Gareth Bale of Real Madrid. There are also rumblings of other transfers which are yet to be confirmed.
With a few days left, expect a rush of rumours - true and false - in the next few days.
