Javier Hernandez joins Bayer Leverkusen from Manchester United - reports

Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a deal with Manchester United for Mexican striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports.

Javier Hernandez's career has been brought to a close just hours after he failed to make a substitute appearance against Swansea City.

Marouane Fellaini was called upon in preference to Hernandez as United trailed to Swansea 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Hernandez has evidently failed to convince Louis van Gaal of his worth over the last season-and-a-bit, much of it spent on loan at Real Madrid, where his performances could not secure a permanent deal.

12 million euros has been rumoured to be the fee for the striker, and Manchester United have been linked with Anthony Martial of Monaco as a potential replacement. The biggest question though, is why Wayne Rooney remains as the first choice striker when it has become obvious he is no longer capable of playing football to any standard.
