Onto the Daily Mail - we are probably supposed to be OUTRAGED that Angel Di Maria was too tired to complete a medical for PSG after a 20 hour journey, because he earns a lot of money. So far, it remains unproven that having lots of money suddenly stops you being tired, and also the fact that a great many millions of pounds rest on him being fully fit probably means that he should be well rested before completing such an exercise. Be bored by the fury if you want, and read the article here.
United defender Rafael da Silva will do one for about £2.5 million to Lyon, who have potentially got themselves a bargain. If Rafael learns to stay fit, and understand defensive discipline, then he'll be excellent. Sadly, that's been said about him for seven years, and it's probably not going to happen now. Still, the story is here on ESPNFC.
The Mirror have a couple of stories. One is that, as expected, Di Maria will be off and that Pedro will shortly follow to replace him. The next is that United might try to follow up the deal with PSG to take Gregory van der Wiel off their hands. He's nothing special, but if he's cheap, then to replace Antonio Valencia with him, and take advantage of Matteo Darmian's flexibility when needed, it might make sense. United are also linked with Karim Benzema, but that seems a long shot. Anyway, read it here, or don't.
Lastly, in the same paper, United have been linked with a move for Pepe. Given Sergio Ramos is almost certain to stay, and Raphael Varane is likely to replace Pepe as first-choice, it means he'd be available. He's 32 now, but could probably manage a couple of seasons yet. Read that here.
