A commentator on the Spurs game last night said that Harry Kane was not in the squad for his side because Manchester United had put in a huge bid for him - it's more likely that Kane was not in the squad because he played 86 minutes in the game the day before. United are almost certainly interested in Kane, and might well have put in a bid, but for now, the obvious explanation is the boring one.

The Manchester Evening News has confirmation of the Champions League opponents that United could meet in the qualifying rounds in a couple of weeks. They are CSKA Moscow, Lazio, Club Brugge, Monaco or Rapid Vienna. United should beat all of those sides, but Manchester United should have beaten a lot of sides over the last two years, only to fall apart and lose. You can read about that here.
The Angel Di Maria deal should be announced today, with the fee at £46 million rather than £43 million because Louis van Gaal charged an extra few million because Di Maria is such a turd. As a result, there's a rumour that Barcelona and Manchester United have agreed a fee for Pedro, and you can read that in the Mirror.
And lastly, in the Mail, Memphis Depay has asked for the number 7 shirt , which is a positive change. Michael Owen was an embarrassment, Antonio Valencia was too shy - yeah - and Di Maria, as mentioned, is a turd. Here's the Mail story.
