Manchester United will play Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup after being Ipswich Town by three goals to nil in the third round at Old Trafford.

United will again play at home, with the tie taking place in the week commencing 26 October.

Middlesbrough qualified for the fourth round themselves with a 3-0 win over Wolves on Tuesday night.

Home advantage against the Championship side should be enough to make United heavy favourites for the match, in what is probably Louis van Gaal's best hope of silverware this season, with the Champions League out of reach, and Manchester City and Chelsea - despite a poor start for Chelsea - the favourites for the league.

The match is another chance for youngster Andreas Pereira to feature, and Pereira scored one of the goals in United's win over Ipswich Town, along with Anthony Martial, who now has four goals in four United appearances.
