The transfer window is open! I think. I've not checked that it's definitely definitely open, but it will be very soon if it isn't yet. Anyway, Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes is linked with a move to Manchester United. He's 19-years-old, so he can move to United now and have Louis van Gaal destroy whatever light is in him. That's in the Telegraph's round-up.
United are also apparently interested in the Fulham teenager Moussa Dembele, and it also says in the Guardian that there's interested in Mario Gomez, who is currently at Besiktas. He's a similar age to Wayne Rooney, but has the advantage of not being a corpse.
The Mirror is the paper to go with the rumour of Southampton forward Sadio Mane. He's class.
In the Manchester Evening News there's a rumour, taken from the Sun which we can't link to, that Diego Simeone has been lined up as the next manager. If the players know that Van Gaal is only a temporary blight until the summer, that might explain the upturn in performance against Chelsea.
And in the Daily Mail, the Felipe Anderson rumours continue. One thing is certain, if United don't strengthen their attack, and very probably their defence, then they won't overcome their useless manager.
