The transfer rumours are finally starting to come through, as Manchester United drag their heels over the chance to win the league in one of the least competitive seasons yet.
In the Telegraph's transfer round-up, there's a story that United have opened talks for Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid. It would fit with the rumours that United are going to appoint Diego Simeone as manager, and also with the likely departure of Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini at the end of the season. Juan Mata and Ander Herrera might both also leave, and Wayne Rooney is horrendous, so another midfielder will be required.
In the Mirror, Carlos Bacca is linked with a move from AC Milan to Manchester United. As we always say, he can't be worse than Rooney.
The Manchester Evening News have a story that United remain interested in Lazio's Felipe Anderson. It seems like United are haggling over the price, or Lazio are leaking the story in order to drum up interest. Either way, Mata seems to have lost interest, and United need more pace on the wings.
And on ESPNFC, Louis van Gaal has said that he is sometimes left bored or angry by Manchester United. Us too, Louis.
