In the Mirror, United are once again linked to Southampton's forward Sadio Mane. Mane didn't play in the last game for Southampton after he was punished for being late to a team meeting. That's exactly the kind of disciplined player United need to get them back on track.
The Telegraph has looked at what every club, including Manchester United, need from the transfer window this January. It's a weird summary for United, really. Someone should have done research and just hasn't bothered.
On ESPNFC, there's a story where Ruud Gullit has blamed Memphis' poor form on his lifestyle. Seeing as it doesn't appear to include boozing or partying late, and he always turns up for training, it's hard to square those two things. Maybe he's just a little cocky, but even then, all he's ever said in the press is that he wants to work hard and he knows he needs to improve.
And lastly, in the Manchester Evening News, it seems that there are two slight injury concerns. There's a flare-up of an old Phil Jones injury - which one? - and Ashley Young was replaced after getting to the end of his capacity to continue due to his lack of match fitness.
