How should Manchester United line up against Sheffield United?

Which players and formation should Manchester United use against Sheffield United in their FA Cup match?

Louis van Gaal will play a strong side against Sheffield United in their FA Cup match on Saturday night, but he will have the opportunity to rest some regularly used players, older members of the squad, and give chances to returning youngsters.

As well as Adnan Januzaj, Will Keane may get a chance in the first team, and could take the place of Anthony Martial, who could do with a rest. Wayne Rooney, captain, is a player who needs to feature regularly, and Van Gaal will probably give him another chance to play himself back into form after a recent improvement.

Memphis, low on confidence, could use a match against lesser opposition. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera are United's best midfielders, so Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick might fill the midfield roles.

In defence, there's a chance to give Matteo Darmian more minutes to adjust to England, and allow Paddy McNair time to gain experience. Chris Smalling may miss the match as a precaution, as he is currently United's only vaguely confident central defender. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson might get another chance at left-back. Sergio Romero might get the chance to entertain all of us, with David de Gea suffering after United's poor run of form.
