Manchester United take on Sheffield United in the third round of the FA Cup. This represents one of the last chances of silverware for Louis van Gaal.
Having lost in the League Cup, been knocked out of the Champions League, and fallen off in the Premier League, there is only this competition and the Europa League which United could realistically win.
Adnan Januzaj and Will Keane have returned from their loans at Borussia Dortmund and Preston North End respectively, and both could feature in the first team. Other young players could start, with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, and perhaps Jesse Lingard ready to feature.
Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo are out with injury.
