Marouane Fellaini starts for Manchester United against Chelsea

For today's game against Chelsea Jose Mourinho has, for the most part, kept faith with the team that secured a 0-0 draw at Anfield last Monday. The only change from the team that started against Liverpool comes in midfield, where Jesse Lingard, excellent against Fenerbahce in midweek, gets the nod ahead of Ashley Young.

As such, the defence is what looks to be the current established first choice: David de Gea behind Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling, with Antonio Valencia and Daley Blind as fullbacks.

Ahead of them in midfield, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera — captain in all but name, at the moment — will make up a three with Paul Pogba, though whether that's a two-behind-one or a proper three remains to be seen. On the flanks, Lingard will take one side and Rashford the other, though we can presumably expect lots of gestures towards fluidity.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic starts up front, of course.

No Wayne Rooney on the bench — muscle strain, apparently — and no sign of Henrikh Mkhitaryan either. So keeping Sergio Romero company will be Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Michael Carrick, Juan Mata, Ashley Young and Anthony Martial.
