Manchester United recorded a disappointing 1-1 draw against struggling Stoke City at Old Trafford yesterday, but manager José Mourinho has insisted that his team played well, regardless of the result.
In his post-match interview, Mourinho claimed that United played better against Stoke than they had in their previous Premier League outing, a 4-1 win over champions Leicester City, but came up against an in-form goalkeeper and didn’t benefit from any luck in front of goal.
The Portuguese coach believes his side could have easily won the game by a great margin, had they done a better job of taking the chances they created.
