José Mourinho has made four changes to his Manchester United team ahead of today’s encounter with Arsenal at Old Trafford. Zlatan Ibrahimović’s suspension has seen Marcus Rashford return to the starting lineup, while Anthony Martial is preferred to Wayne Rooney in attack.
Marouane Fellaini has fortunately made way for the returning Ander Herrera in the midfield, and the Belgian has been omitted from the matchday squad entirely. The final change is arguably the most surprising, with Antonio Valencia coming in for Ashley Young at right-back just weeks after he underwent surgery on a wrist injury sustained in the EFL Cup victory over Manchester City.

There are no real surprises in Arsène Wenger’s selection, with Carl Jenkinson coming in for Héctor Bellerín at right-back, and Mohamed Elneny preferred to Granit Xhaka in midfield. Youngster Alex Iwobi has dropped to the bench to make way for Aaron Ramsey, who seems to be starting out on the right. It’s a conservative selection from the Gunners, but United should know better than to take them lightly.
