After months in exile, Bastian Schweinsteiger has been recalled to the Manchester United first-team matchday squad to face West Ham United today.
With Michael Carrick ruled out through injury, Ander Herrera partners Paul Pogba in central midfield, with Schweinsteiger on the bench for the first time this season.
Despite stellar performances against Fenerbahce in the Europa League this week, there’s no starting place for either Henrikh Mkhitaryan or Wayne Rooney; both will have to content themselves with a place among the substitutes.
Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard will line up in the wide attacking positions, while Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones look set to pair up in the centre of defence.
West Ham, who are currently 17th in the division, are at close to full strength, with Dimitri Payet the player most likely to trouble the United defenders.
