Mancheser United host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday in a battle between two sides intent on qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
But, as it stands, both teams currently sit outside the top four Premier League places, with Spurs in fifth, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, and United one place and six points further back in sixth.
After the 2-0 Europa League win against Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine on Thursday, United fans will be fearing the all too familiar scenario of an impressive midweek display being followed up by Premier League disappointment.
But with Henrikh Mkhitaryan in top form, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic having rediscovered his scoring touch in recent weeks, the home side will be hopeful of a positive result against Spurs.
