Manchester United’s final Europa League group stage tie against Zorya Luhansk will go ahead as planned tonight.

There had been concerns that the pitch at the Chornomorets Stadium was frozen to the point where it could become dangerous for the players. However, an inspection of the playing surface was completed this morning and the pitch was deemed playable.

Zorya are having to play their fixtures in Odessa, almost 600 miles from their home stadium, due to the ongoing hostilities in Luhansk.

United’s players had the chance to walk out onto the pitch in the Ukrainian stadium last night and Daley Blind admitted, "The pitch is hard, the pitch is icy."

Jose Mourinho also expressed his concerns over the surface and with temperatures dropping below zero overnight, there were genuine fears that the game would be called off.

That will not be the case, however, and United will have the chance to claim the point they require to progress through to the knockout stages tonight as planned.
