Jose Mourinho to sell Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini at Manchester United

Should Jose Mourinho be appointed as manager of Manchester United, he plans to sell Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini.

Ed Woodward is waxing his chest and shining his shoes ahead of the quarterly results announcement. You can read more about that on ESPNFC.

In the Guardian's transfer round-up, apparently Victor Valdes could move from Manchester United to be back-up 'keeper at Manchester City. It's probably nonsense, but he and Pep Guardiola know one another, so there's that.

The Daily Mail claim that Jose Mourinho would sell both Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini. While Mata is clearly the better player, there's not really anyone beyond Anthony Martial, David de Gea, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Jesse Lingard who has made a serious case to be kept on next season.

Two stories from the Sun. First, the players are worried about assistant manager Ryan Giggs. Given the players have been so bad this season, it's hard to care what they want, really. And should he be appointed, Mourinho fancies Mauro Icardi. Andrea Berta, Atletico Madrid's Director of Football, is also on his way.

And, as it annoys the wet wipes in the comments, I continue to link to something I've written every chance I get. Here is my article for Paste Magazine on Peter Lim, Gary Neville and Jorge Mendes at Valencia.
