We speak to a Sunderland fan about their match against Manchester United

The Busby Babe spoke to Thomas Donaldson, a Sunderland fan, about their Premier League game against Manchester United.

Is it weird having Sam Allardyce as manager, and him not being the most unpleasant man you've employed in recent years?

I haven't been very keen on Allardyce as manager at any club but he seems like a sensible but hardly an exciting appointment.

It would be hard to find someone more unpleasant than some we have had in the past, but I have faith with a little work and a few photos of Big Sam covered in money while ranting about questionable political beliefs he could get there.

Whabi Khzari - a typical Allardyce signing - arrived for an undisclosed fee. What do you make of him so far? Should United be worried?

He seems like a decent player, no Ola Toivonen, but who is? He looks be our best addition since someone agreed to swap Defoe for an inanimate object.

I think United should be worried, but maybe not about Sunderland.

Who is your favourite Sunderland player of all time, and why is it Wes Brown?

Has to be Wes, he is always injured, just like me. Steed Malbranque is second. Lovely to look at, just like me

Do you think you'll stay up this season?

No. But I've said that for a few years now.

What do you think Sunderland's tactics will be against United?

Give it to Defoe

Lastly, what's your prediction for the match?

I can't see it being exciting, but United should do it off the back of some awful Sunderland defending.

Thanks for Tom for being so helpful, and he even donated his fee for contributing to charity. What a good egg. You can find him on Twitter at @Arc_Tom.
