It wasn't just a Valentine's dalliance, then. Donald Love makes his first senior start for Manchester United against FC Midtjylland whose name your correspondent just spelled correctly first time.
Thank you, thank you.
Love is, we think, at rightback, with Daley Blind stepping out to the left side of the defence and Paddy McNair and Chris Smalling making up the central duo. Almost the only thing we know about Midtjylland is that they're good at set pieces, so we'll see how that shakes out.
David de Gea is in goal, thank God.
In midfield, Michael Carrick (captain for the evening) will sit and sweep, Ander Herrera will buzz and bother, and Juan Mata will pass and probe. He'll be passing to Jesse Lingard on one flank, Memphis Depay on the other, and Anthony Martial up front, though presumably there'll be a fair bit of position swapping and so forth.
On the bench, being babysat by Sergio Romero and Morgan Schneiderlin, are Regan Poole, Joe Riley, Andreas Pereira, James Weir, and Will Keane.
