Manchester United visit Manchester City in what many will hope is Louis van Gaal's last Manchester Derby (as United manager, at least), and even better than that, his last Manchester United match.
Both sides have been utterly disappointing this season, and while United have just lost to Liverpool in the Europa League tie, Manchester City are not in great shape themselves.
They negotiated their way past Dynamo Kiev to qualify for the Champions League quarter finals for the first time. However, they suffered an injury to Vincent Kompany, their only competent defender. The problem for optimism here is that it doesn't take a competent defence to keep a clean sheet against this United side.
Ander Herrera is the latest injury, and United are at the mercy of Van Gaal's peculiar selection methods, so don't be surprised to see a ham sandwich start at left-back, or the reanimated ghost of Joseph Stalin playing between the lines. Mike Summerbee could make a surprise, Scholesesque return to first-team action, but for City, not United.
