How should Manchester United line up against West Ham?

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal named an astonishing eleven to take on West Ham United in the FA Cup on Wednesday.

Louis van Gaal has reportedly come up with an absolutely astonishing, unpredictable, unprecedented and experimental eleven for Wednesday's game against West Ham in the FA Cup.

Van Gaal was so impressed with Juan Mata as a wing-back, Jesse Lingard at 10, Daley Blind in central midfield, Anthony Martial on the wing and Ashley Young as a striker that he will continue to experiment with using different players in non-traditional roles.

Phil Jones, in the most astonishing move, will probably start in central defence, which is instead of his preferred role as a complete waste of everyone's time.

United play West Ham as their last hope of success, with Jose Mourinho waiting in the wings to replace Van Gaal should Ed Woodward finally make the decision to move on from the hopeless case. There is, however, a strong possibility that Van Gaal will go on to win the Champions League, Premier League and World Cup using the formation below:
