Ander Herrera back in Manchester United squad

Manchester United's injury concerns are easing ahead of tomorrow's game at Crystal Palace.

There is a Manchester United game tomorrow, so there was a Louis van Gaal press conference today. Not a classic, if we're being honest: he didn't call anybody fat, he didn't walk out, and he didn't say anything particularly amusing or ridiculous. But there was some good news on the injury front.

First of all, Ander Herrera — who limped off against West Ham and missed the weekend's thrillfest against Aston Villa — is back in the squad to face Crystal Palace. There are also no new injury concerns, so prepare to have your jaws dropped and your flabbers ghasted once again.

The other news concerns Luke Shaw, whose return is going nicely, up to a point. According to Van Gaal:

He's very positive, he's doing great, I cannot deny that so he's training on the pitch. But now he's training with the physiotherapist and he has to train with the football coach and that still hasn't happened.

Baby steps, Luke. Baby steps. In other news, Marcus Rashford may or may not be getting a rest, and Van Gaal isn't thinking about either Arsenal or the FA Cup semi final. "We have to look to ourselves."
