As if to say goodbye, Netherlands' newspaper De Telegraaf -- source of so much good Van Gaal information over the last couple of years -- has an exciting Manchester United story for us all. Nothing to do with the manager's job, though; they reckon Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed to move to Old Trafford.

Thanks to Mr G. Translate for all his assistance with the Dutch. Apparently United are his chosen destination not because of the wages. They will presumably be considerable, but he could apparently have earned a lot more in China.
The former Ajax player, however, did not opt for the money, but above all for his future. After his active career as a football player he wants to become a trainer. Manchester United is a few years working as assistant coach in the offing.
Here we note that Ibrahimovic's agent, Mino Raiola, is Dutch, and so while this is probably nonsense, there is at least a bit of logic behind it. And ultimately, the prospect of Ibrahimovic sat alongside Jose Mourinho in a tracksuit, occasionally getting up to shout at Chris Smalling, is as appealing to the Busby Babe as the thought of all the shirts he'll shift is appealing to the Glazers.
