We're all but official confirmation away from Louis van Gaal's sacking, and we're seemingly all but official confirmation away from José Mourinho's hiring.
Reports suggest the Portuguese tactician could be sworn in as Manchester United manager as early as tomorrow, and according to a photograph on the Press Association's Twitter account, he's already packed and ready to make the move up north. Presumably filling all of those boxes is the baggage he's carrying from his acrimonious exits from Real Madrid and Chelsea.

It will be the Portuguese tactician's seventh managerial role, and first since he left Stamford Bridge midway through last season. There's no doubting that he's the outstanding available candidate, and United are finally taking the decision they arguably should have when Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement back in 2013.
