Nobody saw anything.
In a move so surprising that many people simply refused to register it the first time they read the team sheet, Louis van Gaal has dropped Daley Blind. Perhaps love can see after all. Marcos Rojo shifts into central defence to partner Chris Smalling, with Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian taking on fullback duties.
David de Gea's in goal. Hooray.
In midfield, we have Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney; while Our Wazza's not been awful in the middle over the last few games, you have to wonder how the actual midfield specialists missing out to accommodate him must feel. They'll be supporting Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Memphis Depay, who will in turn be supporting Anthony Martial. Marcus Rashford and Blind have both been left out of the squad to allow them a rest.
On the bench: Sergio Romero, Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Paddy McNair, Adnan Januzaj, and the returning Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. Hooray for him also.
