The Manchester Evening News have linked Manchester United with Braga midfielder Rafa Silva. United certainly need more midfielders, with none of the ones they currently have making an unanswerable case to be retained in the last season (no, that's not me saying they are all bad and should all be sold).

On ESPNFC, Juan Mata has said that Wayne Rooney is still important for England. That's true, because Danny Welbeck is injured, as is Jordan Henderson, so they're going to have to have someone to make up the numbers in the squad.

Really, this again in the Mail (the article is fine, the headline is depressing).

The Mirror have linked Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi to United. With Phil and Gary Neville involved in his training, and David Moyes at Everton, it's fair to say that he is possibly the worst luck omen of all time.

And, in the Sun, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could turn down a move to United in favour of AC Milan. Milan are about to be bought by a Chinese consortium, and he would clearly a) make lots of money as a result and b) curry favour with the fans.
