Manchester United are on the verge of completing a record-breaking move to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, according to widespread reports.
Italian journalist and renowned transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the two clubs held a meeting this afternoon, and that Juventus are prepared to accept United’s €110 million (£92.6 million) offer for the 23-year-old midfielder.

It is also believed that United have agreed to pay the fee due to Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola — thought to be in the region of €20 million, although it is thought that the Red Devils are set to negotiate a reduction of that sum to nearer €10 million.

Di Marzio claims that a deal could be wrapped up before the weekend, a line which has now been picked up by several news outlets, with ESPN FC reporting that Pogba, who is currently on holiday in Miami, could undergo a medical in the United States tomorrow.
SkyBet have suspended betting on Pogba’s potential return to Old Trafford after receiving a flurry of bets today.

The latest reports even suggest that an agreement could be announced tonight, confirming what would be a world record transfer fee — surpassing the £85.6 million Real Madrid paid to take Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur three years ago.
Pogba will become United’s fourth signing this summer, following the arrivals of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
