Hull City appear to be on the verge of sealing a move for Manchester United youngster James Weir.
According to The Guardian’s deadline day live blog, the 21-year-old midfielder is currently undergoing a medical, and could soon become a Hull player.
It’s not yet known whether Weir will be signing for the Tigers permanently, or on a season-long loan like many other United youngsters recently.
Weir, who captained United’s under-21 side last season, made his sole first-team appearance to date in the Red Devils’ 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford in February this year.
The youngster has represented England at under-16, -18 and -19 level, and is regarded as a player of some promise within Old Trafford, which makes a loan deal to Hull more likely that a permanent transfer.
