The teams have been named ahead of today’s Manchester derby, and the big news is that Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard have both been handed starts by José Mourinho. They’ll presumably operate either side of Wayne Rooney, with Juan Mata and Anthony Martial being made to settle for places on the bench.
United are otherwise unchanged, with Daley Blind pairing up with Eric Bailly in the centre of defence, Marouane Fellaini forming a double-pivot alongside Paul Pogba, and Zlatan leading the line.
City boss Pep Guardiola has, meanwhile, surprisingly opted to give youngster Kelechi Iheanacho a starting berth, with striker Sergio Agüero out suspended. David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne keep their spots in the centre of midfield, with Raheem Sterling and Nolito out wide.
In defence, Aleksandar Kolarov has been moved out to full-back with Nicolás Otamendi partnering John Stones at centre-back; while finally, goalkeeper Claudio Bravo — newly signed from Barcelona — immediately displaces Willy Caballero between the sticks.
