The teams have been announced for Manchester United’s encounter with Watford at Vicarage Road, with manager José Mourinho making several changes from the team that was beaten by Feyenoord in midweek. Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian make way for Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera and Morgan Schneiderlin are replaced by Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini, and Zlatan Ibrahimović is preferred to Juan Mata.
It’s a reversion to something like the side Mourinho has favoured throughout much of the season so far. Of note is the absence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who doesn’t even make the bench. Mata, Ashley Young and Memphis Depay are, perhaps damningly, handed seats on the dugout over the Armenian.

In contrast, Watford coach Walter Mazzarri makes only one change to his starting lineup, and it’s an enforced one: defender Sebastian Prödl comes into their back three, with Younès Kaboul ruled out with a hamstring injury.
