Wayne Rooney will lead the line for Manchester United in their EFL third round tie away at Northampton Town tonight.
In a much changed side, José Mourinho has given some of the fringe players in his squad an opportunity to impress.
United will line up as follows: Sergio Romero; Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo; Morgan Schneiderlin, Michael Carrick; Memphis Depay, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young; Wayne Roney.

Rooney is appearing in his fourth different position of the season so far, having previously featured as a No.10, central midfielder and right-winger.
The 30-year-old’s inclusion in this largely second-string selection could be interpreted as a hint that the England captain will not be starting against Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday, which has been reported in certain sections of the media this week.
Mourinho has also given first starts of the season to Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Depay and Young, while Carrick will feature for the first time since the Community Shield in August.
United are hoping to snap a three-game losing streak against the Cobblers tonight, as they kick off their EFL Cup campaign.
