Brace yourselves: it's happening again. Manchester United will play Manchester City in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
The game will be played at Old Trafford in the week of October 24th; the exact date will presumably be up to the television people. For United, that means their October schedule now reads Liverpool away, Fenerbahce at home, Chelsea away, City at home, which is possibly an even trickier run of fixtures than Feyenoord and Watford.
Twitter's going to snap in half.
City, for their part, will be coming off a moderately tricky run of fixtures as well, having hosted Everton and Southampton either side of a visit to Barcelona. So, everybody can just pick the kids and we can all promise not to read too much into the result. Right? Right?
Probably not, no. Ah well. Onward to vengeance! Onward to glory! Onward to not picking two half-fit wingers in a botched attempt to counter a tactical move that doesn't actually materialise!
