Nine-time Olympic gold medal winner Usain Bolt has made no secret of his love for Manchester United over the years, with the legendary sprinter often claiming he’d love to play for the Red Devils if given the chance.

Obviously, the guy is exceptional at his day job, so he should probably stick to that.

But in his first ever Facebook Live video, while answering fans’ questions, the 29-year-old insisted he’d quit athletics if given the chance to represent United.

"If I had the chance to play for Manchester United I would go right now," Bolt said. "I would retire and start playing football right now. That’s how much I really want to play for Manchester United. It’s almost like a dream."

We’ve no idea whether his first touch is any good, or if he is able to whip a decent cross into the box, but with his pace — the man can run 100 metres in 9.58 seconds, after all — he’d probably be a decent option on the wing.

In the video, Bolt also discusses his admiration for comedian Kevin Hart, how his future lies in coaching, and picks out the 2012 London games as his favourite Olympics.
