Stupid international break. Stupid international football. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was surely in line to start against Manchester City in a week's time, may miss the game with an injury he sustained against the Czech Republic on Wednesday.

According to the Armenian FA, Mkhitaryan:

has had a medical examination in a clinic in Mlada Boleslav. Unfortunately, the results are not encouraging. [He] was found to have an injury in the lower third of the left thigh muscle. Such injuries usually require a week to 10 days to heal, which means that Mkhitaryan will miss the Denmark-Armenia match on September 4.

Sad news for Armenia, who will be missing their captain. From a United point of view, if he's out for a week, then fine, he'll be fit by Wednesday. But if it's ten days ... that's Saturday. Cross any rabbits' feet you might have lying around, put the black cat out, and pick up those shards of mirror before anybody notices.
