Reports, reports. Everywhere reports. But when they all seem to agree, and even Manchester United's manager is drawn to comment, then we can probably assume that they're right.
Morgan Schneiderlin, so says the world, is off to Everton for the moderately princely sum of £22m. Given that this isn't far off what United paid for him, and given that the Frenchman's never really been convincing when he's started, that's not bad going by United's negotiators. Not a sentence we'd ever thought we'd have to write.
Jose Mourinho, speaking after last night's win over Hull City, had mixed feelings:
Morgan is more than probably going to Everton. I'm sad and I'm happy. I'm sad because I like him and he could be an option for us in a long season. I'm happy because this is what he wants, he wants to play every game and wants to be an important player in the team.
If this is what he wants I'm happy for a very good professional and someone that I can only say good things about.
Seems fair to us.
