Manchester United are just within a point of securing qualification to the next round of the UEFA Champions League. The not-quite-dead rubber fixture against FC Basel on Wednesday should offer José Mourinho the chance to rotate his squad, with one eye on the looming Premier League festive schedule.
Zlatan Ibrahimović will continue his reocvery effort by being awarded with a spot on the bench, while Mourinho has not yet made a decision on Pogba. Chris Smalling is also confirmed to start, since Eric Bailly and Phil Jones reamin sidelines. Juan Mata, Ashley Young, and Antonio Valencia have been given a rest. After being dropped for poor form, Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be in line for a return.
